1881-S $1 Morgan Dollar PCGS MS68 (CAC) #3234-4

From 1879 to 1882, the San Francisco Mint produced arguably the most eye-appealing Morgan dollars in the whole series and this 1881-S is no exception. Fully struck with sparkling blast white satiny mint luster, semi-proof mirrored fields, and a smooth cheek, one would be hard-pressed to find a better executed and preserved specimen. The 1881-S Morgan dollar has in all likelihood enticed more collectors to becoming serious numismatists than any other silver dollar, and with such technical merits going for it as on this offering, one does not have to stare at it too long to see why.
